A few weeks ago we screened the heart breaking story of Awhi and Kahia Paul, two sisters suffering the same rare genetic disorder with two completely different outcomes.
The disease left Awhi severely physically and mentally disabled.
When we filmed that story Awhi's whanau told Native Affairs, their long term goal was to buy her a spa pool.
Our cameraman was so touched by the Paul whanau's dedication to Awhi, he set up a fundraising page and your donations began flooding in.
In the meantime the team from Forme Leisure Spas saw her story and decided they wanted to koha a brand new spa pool.
