Native Affairs – Off Target

Hunting, it’s a favourite pastime for many Māori, and it's a good source of kai for the whānau.  But hunting has also been the source of much heartache.  In just over 20 years, 28 people have been killed hunting, this year alone six people have been shot dead.

The latest tragedy is the death of 27-year-old Carlos Tauhou Ngamoki from Te Kaha.  Rewa Harriman speaks with his heartbroken whānau at his tangi, talks to members of the hunting community who are outraged by the latest spate of deaths, and speaks to another family ten years on from losing their loved one, and they're all demanding change.
