Native Affairs - Forgotten & Fallen

They were sent to war by our Government to fight in foreign conflicts and they never came home.

Over 30 New Zealand military personnel are buried in cemeteries across Malaysia and Vietnam.  Now a new campaign called 'Families of The Forgotten Fallen' is lobbying government, to bring our soldiers home.

Cousins Paul Thomas and Andrew Peters are both former soldiers.

For forty years they've been trying to bring home the body of Paul's brother Adrian, who served with the elite special air services, when he was killed in action in 1956.

Paul has now broadened his campaign to include not just his brother but all the kiwis killed in service - whose whānau want them home.

Paul and Andrew join Mihingarangi Forbes in studio.
