Native Affairs - Keeping up with the Kīngitanga

The Māori King's speech has caught many by surprise with the King announcing a further Treaty claim on Greater Auckland, including areas north to Mahurangi, down the Firth of Thames and across to the Manukau Harbour and to Pīhā.

He wants to address the issue of Sovereignty of the Kīngitanga with the Government and the Crown.

Native Affairs goes inside the inner circle of King Tuheitia and looks at the future of the Māori Monarchy which has existed for 157 years.
