This year marks a hundred years since our troops were involved in the Battle of the Somme. The First World War centenary has helped highlight the close connection between Māori and Pacific Islanders in combat. One Cook Island soldier who served with the Māori Pioneer Battalion has been singled out in a very special way. Wena Harawira reports.
