It's a well-known fact that obesity-related illnesses are major killers in our community with 43% of Māori and 65% of Pasifika peoples classed as obese.

One South Auckland pastor was set to become another statistic, until he began a quest last year to drop the pounds, and save his life.

In just over a year, Clifford Wadsworth is literally half the man he used to be, losing the weight all naturally, and he's been leading a weight-loss revolution with his church.  Our reporter Adrian Stevanon went south side to meet the saintly slimmers.
