Native Affairs - Split The Ranks

Last year Native Affairs investigated allegations of miss-spending at Te Pātaka Ōhanga, the subsidiary arm of the Kōhanga Reo National Trust.

Native Affairs' investigations led to a ministerial inquiry into the trust, but not its subsidiary Te Pātaka Ōhanga.

The Kōhanga Trust  Board rejected all allegations and in public presented a united front. However court documents obtained by Māori Television show the reality was much different.

The documents outline how a row developed between board members, and it got so bad that last week the fight reached the High Court.

To discuss the significance of the Kōhanga court case and the latest political developments for Labour we have consultant Ward Kamo and Political Commentator Willie Jackson.
