When Jacqui Barrett's son turned six he was already taller than his mum. Jacqui, from Ngāti Maniapoto, is a dwarf, although she prefers the term "little person". She's a motivational writer, blogger and public speaker.
Just a few years ago, Jacqui was using alcohol and drugs to cope with a string of failed relationships, depression and feelings of abandonment, but now she's confronted her demons and moved on. Nowadays, she's an inspiration for many hundreds of people, here in Aotearoa and overseas. She shares with us her new book "Just Do You – My Journey from Mad to Zen". Iulia Leilua reveals Jacqui’s remarkable story.
