Native Affairs - Te Ururoa on TVNZ

Television New Zealand (TVNZ) is all but ending a 35-year relationship with Māori and Māori broadcasters.

Mihingarangi Forbes discusses the significance of the decision in studio, but first spoke with Māori Development Minister, Te Ururoa Flavell, who learned of the changes at the same time as the public.

Native Affairs asked TVNZ CEO Kevin Kenrick for comment on the changes but he declined.

In a statement to Native Affairs, he says it's too early to discuss the details in public, but he will once he has a better idea of how it might work.
