When TJ was first named in the All Blacks last year it was a huge milestone, but to wear the jersey this weekend is something else for his whānau.
Someone who knows how Thomas is feeling is Eddie Ellison. His son, Tamati Ellison, played four tests for the All Blacks in 2009.
Both families are members of the Northern United Rugby Club in Porirua, and if TJ gets a run off the bench on Saturday, he'll become the seventh player from the club to get an All Black cap.
TJ's family and club have backed his ability and dream of becoming an All Black throughout the years, and come Saturday night, they'll all be there to cheer on their boy from Norths.
