New drama series about rugby, whānau and school life to premiere this week

A new drama is due to hit the small screen this week.

Head High looks at how a whānau deals with rugby including the real-life events that can emerge from player poaching between rival schools.

The series was written by Tim Worrell of Ngai Tūhoe and Te Arawa. He is an award-winning screenwriter, director and graphic designer based in Rotorua.

The drama will premiere this Sunday on Three.

More to come.
