New Hawke's Bay inland port planned to create new jobs

The government is to spend $20 million to build an inland port at Whakatū. The 12-hectare site between Napier and Hastings will manage freight sent via rail and road connections to Napier Port. The project ties in with Whakatū community plans to establish career, employment and trade training pathways for its people.
