Next generation to continue guardian legacy of Whakaki Lake

The conservation and preservation of Whakaki Lake and the livelihood of food it provides for its people is what drives Wiremu Kahukura of Ngāti Kahungunu.

He says passing down traditional knowledge and instilling a love and respect of ancestral land will help the next generation carry the legacy of being guardians of the land.
