Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Rangi is diverting payments on its commercial mortgages to help its tribal members during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Its bank agreed to defer payments and, while the exact amount is being kept under wraps, the rūnanga's CEO Paora Stanley says it will provide for the social well-being of Ngāi Te Rangi families during these tough times.
