NZ contestant shines on Sydney stage

A highlight for Joanna Millett was performing on Māori Television's Homai Te Pakipaki, using the experience as a stepping stone towards her career in theatrical arts.

“I loved performing in Homai Te Pakipaki and competing. I came second in my heat in Homai Te Pakipaki which was incredible and fun. Everyone was wonderful and lovely.”

Joanna has just left for Sydney, courtesy of Centre City Musical Theatre with her collaborator, Patrick Kelly, after making the finals of the “Your Theatrics International Cabaret Contest,” hoping to boost her career to another level.

The rising star from Awhitu has definitely got a big future ahead and who knows, where her next stop could be, The Big Apple.
