84 NZ veterans of the Pacific War departed for Noumea today to attend a commemoration marking the 70th anniversary of the war in the Pacific.
For many of these veterans, aged between 86 and 96, it could be the last time they attend an Anzac Day service in Noumea, but the memories will remain with them forever.
