NZers determined to speak out on TPPA agreement

New Zealanders are determined to have their say on the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA), an agreement that is currently being negotiated between 12 different countries, including NZ.

No agreement has been reached, since negotiations began.  But the agreement would open up trade in goods and services across a range of economic policy issues.

However, details of the agreement have been kept under wraps from the public.

The secrecy of it all has New Zealanders concerned that if the agreement went ahead it would let foreign investors challenge NZ law, make medicines more expensive and undermine the Resource Management Act.

Since the TTPA came to light, petitions have been signed around the country with thousands continuing to support petitions opposing the agreement.
