New Zealand Shot Putter Valerie Adams led the field after her second throw of 20.42 metres, but it wasn’t until the final round where America’s Michelle Carter's snatched the gold with a 20.63-metre throw.

Silver in Rowing

NZ Women’s coxless pair, NZ rowers Genevieve Behrent and Rebecca Scown maintain their position in front of Denmark to secured Silver with a time of 7:19.53 behind Great Britain.
