The youth wings of National, Labour, ACT, Mana, the Māori Party, Greens and NZ First, joined together to support the same-sex marriage bill.
It's an issue that has split parties, but united these youngsters.
Labour MP Louisa Wall's member's bill to legalise same-sex marriage will be put to a conscience vote, meaning MPs can make up their own minds about whether or not they support it.
Last year, it passed its first reading and Māori Party youth member Te Aonui McKenzie says he fully supports the bill because to him it’s about respecting each other.
He also says the bill is very close to home in his case as has family members who are gay and he doesn’t like the idea of people telling his family who they can and cannot love.
The bill is expected to have its second reading this Wednesday.
