Otamatea Hawks play on to honour Jordan Kemp

The whānau of Jordan Kemp still mourns the loss of their young boy aged 17 following a rugby accident one week ago.

Today his family and friends came together to celebrate his life by dedicating today's rugby competition game between his former team, the Otamatea Hawkes and Horahora in his honour held on their home turf in Maungaturoto.

Otamatea and Horahora were sitting fourth equal on this seasons score table, all the more reason for Otamatea to beat Horahora.

Some of Jordan’s family travelled from as far as Australia, having stayed on after the funeral knowing how much it would mean for them all to be at Jordan's team's tribute game.
