Joseph Parker is set to weigh in at midday today for his upcoming clash with Sherman "Te Waka Tauā" Williams.
Regardless of suffering an injury to his left shoulder, the New Zealand Heavyweight Champion pushed through and due to his support team taking the right steps he is ready and raring to go.
Also set to take to the ring is Sam Rapira who will go head to head with Reece Pāpuni for the NZNBF Light Heavyweight title. The pair are long time rivals and fought eachother five times in their amateur careers. Papuni won the last four and both boxers have outstanding professional records.
Parker says while his injury was a setback he is well and truly prepared for what lies ahead.
The Heavyweight Explosion event will be held tomorrow night at the Trusts Arena.
