Gallery: Police locate family of young boy left at Manukau Work and Income

Police have just confirmed they have located the family of a young boy who was left at the Manukau Work and Income office on Thursday afternoon.

Following inquiries regarding a man who, at around 2:30pm yesterday, entered the WINZ office and handed the young boy to staff, Police were able to identify him and then locate the child's family.

The boy at the time was wearing a white t-shirt, above the knee faded black denim shorts, no shoes and he had a nappy on.  Police estimated his age to be approximately 20 months.

As the boy was being cared for by Child, Youth and Family social workers since the incident, Police are now working with CYF on the investigation.
