Police raid on Head Hunters gang stacks up

A number of Head Hunters gang properties throughout the Upper North Island were raided in the early hours of this morning.

At least 10 people have been detained and are now speaking with police as a major operation targeting criminal activities.

During the raids throughout the Upper North Island the police found half a million dollars’ worth of methamphetamine and in June they also seized firearms.

At least 16 cars including vintage vehicles are now in the process of being seized. The total value of the assets thought to be worth around $4 million.

Three Mt Eden inmates were arrested during the raids involving the Head Hunters gang with police also talking to a former guard. They'll appear in Court at a later date.
