Police have confirmed and released the name of the man who died after being hit by a bus in central Wellington on Saturday night.
The man was Andrew Lockwood Waikare, also known as Anaru "Doc" Manuel. He was 75 years old.
Police extend their sympathies to Andrew's whānau and friends.
An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
