QLD claims 9 State of Origin wins for last 10 years

The Queensland team thrived last night in a 52,500 strong crowd at Suncorp Stadium, thrashing NSW in a record breaking score 52-6.

From the start of the game it was tit for tat off the boot.  It was the debutant on the right wing who crossed the line first.

Shortly after Josh Papali'i came on, he barged through a gaping hole.

In the 34th minute, the "goanna" was out breaking a record.

In the second minute of the second half, Justin Hodges was at it again with his tricks, assisting Matt Gillett.

Swift passing by Queensland helped Michael Morgan cross the line.  Not long after he was repaying the favour to his team-mate Darius Boyd.

Michael Jennings with a show of speed scored a consolation try for NSW.  But all eyes were on Justin Hodges in his last Origin match.

With this 52-6 win, Queensland makes it nine wins in 10 years.
