Northpower crews have worked long hours during the storms visit to maintain the power supply to the majority of homes in the region.
Despite the storm not being as destructive as was initially forecast, it did pose quite a challenge, taking out nine power feeds in this region alone.
Regardless of the strong winds, Northpower says, it was lucky there wasn't as much rain as anticipated as it could have caused trees to uproot along with further power cuts to homes in the region.
After a long and exhausting night for Northpower crews, It seems Northland has survived yet another storm.
