Mana whenua have placed a rāhui on Tutaekurī River in the Hawke's Bay due to a body being found on Wednesday by Police.
The rāhui stretched from Waiohiki to Waitangi and prohibits anyone from swimming until Saturday 21 March or collecting mahinga kai/food until Wednesday 25 March from the river.
A karakia is being held at 4pm today near Pettigrew Green Arena.
Hawke's Bay Police with the Police National Dive Squad recovered the body from the Tutaekurī River, near Taradale.
