A ceremony took place on the ātea of Tūrangawaewae Marae today to signify the return of The Rangiriri Pā and Te Wheoro Redoubt site, two historical Waikato war sites in the Rangiriri battle. The lands were handed back to Waikato as part of King Tuheitia’s 10th Kororneihana.
