Rātana Church leader believes younger generation is key

By Te Ao Māori News

The old and the young turned out to the Rā Whakamoemiti at Rātana Pā and spokesperson for the church, Waka Paama says they are in good stead to move forward into the future.

He also believes that the Rātana Church will grow from strength to strength in the years to come through the younger generations coming through.

King Tūheitia and Labour MPs were also in attendance, but the main focus for the day was the parishioners, and the birthday of Tahupōtiki Wiremu Rātana.

Mr Paama says that many of the parishioners are struggling in the big cities, but the church can help ease those struggles.

Celebrations at Rātana Pā have now wrapped up for the year, and these followers will be back again Next Year.
