Jordan Taurima's whānau search for answers

Photos of Jordan line his family home in Cambridge while the family deal with the loss of their loved one.

His father Richard Taurima recalls his son as having a smile like his mother which spoke a thousand words, he says his smile was something so unique and telling about his son.

On Wednesday, Jordan was killed suddenly while doing contract work for an explosives and fertiliser company INCITEC PIVOT in Queensland.

Although details are yet to emerge around this his family are desperately awaiting the return of his body to NZ.

Mr Taurima says his son was a huge influence on his older sister and younger brothers and sisters, he says he loved them immensely.

Evidence of how many people he touched showed with a flow of tributes to him on Social media.

His father also says while he was small in stature he had a huge heart.

At the end of last year, Jordan headed to Australia for a better life, instead his dream ended in disaster.

He's survived by three sons, Jacob, Beaudene and Israel.

Although authorities are still investigating the incident, his family are preparing for the funeral at Hautapu Sports Club next week.
