Joel Vaiangina is a Saint Kentigern College student who has been selected to represent NZ in China next week at the ‘Basketball Without Borders’ camp run by the NBA.
He is 17 years old and stands at 6'7" and has already represented NZ and played for the Breakers Development squad but he still has dreams and aspirations to go further.
“Hopefully one day NBA but defiantly go to college in the States, play for Division 1 team maybe,” says Vaiangina.
On Sunday, Joel will fly out to China for the ‘Basketball Without Borders’ camp where he will test his skills against the top 68 players in Asia.
