Royals treated to special Māori experiences in Wellington

Haka and waiata greeted Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla during their Royal visit to Wellington today.

The Royals both had the opportunity to experience a taste of the Māori culture individually.

The Prince of Wales was welcomed onto Tawa College this morning where he observed a game of kī-ō-rahi.  Meanwhile the Duchess of Cornwall visited Te Whaea, National School of Dance and Drama Centre in Newtown where she was welcomed by Toi Whakaari director, Christian Penny.

On display were students' artwork, costume designs and a special ballet performance.  The Royal couple were then reunited for their visit to Dunedin this afternoon.
