Shane Cameron turns full focus on whānau

Shane Cameron's 17-year boxing career may have come to an end but the former New Zealand heavyweight champion believes his legacy will live on in his teaching to his clients, a close friend and his children.

The Mountain Warrior from Tiniroto says the time has come to turn his attention to coaching and his son Shane Jnr.

Shane Cameron now has a new focus in life after many years of committing his life to boxing.

He vividly remembers David Tua telling him it was his time.

His biggest fight in his career was in 2012 when he beat Monte Barrett.

His attention now turns to care for his 10-month-old son Shane Jnr, daughter Georgia and wife Tara.

Cameron will start to train his best friend Ricky Murphy in the coming weeks.
