Silver Ferns make a clean sweep at Oceania Netball Series

The Silver Ferns have made a clean sweep on their first ever visit to Fiji but were made to wait for their latest victory after a national power outage threatened the final test of the Oceania Netball Series.

The Ferns last match was delayed by 40 minutes after a power black-out affected the whole of the island, but quickly showed just why they're one of the best teams in the world.

Despite the power outage, the Silver Ferns weren't left in the dark and found their rhythm on court against Fiji.

Coach Waimarama Taumaunu opted for another new shooting combination in Ellen Halpenny at goal attack and Bailey Mes at shooter.

While Phoenix Karaka was given her second start for the New Zealand team, playing alongside Leana de Bruin who celebrated her 90th test cap for New Zealand.

Halpenny slotted a penalty on the whistle to end the first quarter with a 21-10 advantage.

That advantage grew leading the match at half-time, 41-17.

The Silver Ferns continued their domination in the second half, but Fiji did improve from their first hit out against New Zealand on Monday night, playing some of their best netball last night.

The Silver Ferns came away with the win, 76-34.
