They have been away for a long time but Smashproof have returned.
In 2009 they released their first album, 'The Weekend.' They look back at their single 'Brothers' which held the #1 spot on the NZ music charts for 11 weeks.
Shortly after that the trio pursued their own solo careers.
They've returned to create their new album 'Forever' but what's fascinating is they produced the album themselves.
While it's their moment today, they acknowledge Lorde for her accomplishments at the Grammy's and the benefits that will bring to musicians here in NZ.
This album won't be their last, they say another will be released towards the end of the year.
