In an interview with Moana, Marama Davidson revealed she had worked for the Human Rights Commission, Breastfeeding NZ and was a think tank member on Sir Owen Glenn's inquiry into child abuse and domestic violence.

Ranked 15 on the Green Party list, Marama Davidson entered Parliament in 2015 following the resignation of Russel Norman. But the mother of six grew up surrounded by activism.
