Fire and emergency services were called to Parliament Buildings this morning following a suspicious package being found in the mail. A spokesperson for the Prime Minister confirmed that it wasn’t an explosive.
Police say they were notified just after 10am.
They are now determining what the item is and assessing any risk posed.
One area has been isolated as a precaution.
