A young girl diagnosed with brain cancer wants to visit her marae, Murumurunga, in the Bay of Plenty. 12-year-old, Zavier Marshall and her whānau hope to visit the marae in December.

Cell phone access brings world to Minginui
Minginui local Winiata Tamaki says cell phone access has changed their world. The small town, which received a $5.8mil boost to support their nursery from the government's Provincial Growth Fund in March has utilised part of it to establish cellular services in the area.

Ngāti Whare to benefit from funds
Ngāti Whare have been given $5.8mil by the government to grow at least $7.5mil native tree within 10 years. The announcement was made by Regional Economic Development Minister Shane Jones at the Minginui nursery.
