Te Hikuwai stood proud on the Te Arawa regional stage this morning, following the efforts of their pakeke group who performed last night.
Like their pakeke, they too paid tribute to the Late Paora Te Rangi, who had made a major impact on kapa haka within Te Hikuwai.
The team hopes to qualify as one of the six groups representing Te Arawa at the Te Matatini Festival next year in Christchurch.
