Te Arawa Senior Kapa Haka Regionals - Ngā Uri o Te Whanoa

Established in 2006, Ngā Uri o Te Whanoa is predominately made up of kaihaka and extended whānau from across Aotearoa.

As a tight-knit whānau, they believe they've been blessed with the teachings of Te Arawa kapa haka stalwarts Trevor Maxwell, his late wife, Atareta Maxwell, and even the late Sir Howard Morrison OBE himself.

Ngā Uri o Te Whanoa acknowledge their links to Ngāti Whakaue and pay homage to their eponymous ancestor Te Whanoa.

Last year was their third consecutive stand at the Te Matatini Festival; here is Ngā Uri o Te Whanoa's waiata tira.
