Te Haaro o te Kaahu Kapa Haka Kura Tuarua 2016- Te Rōpū Kapahaka o Te Aute Kāreti

Te Rōpū Kapahaka o Te Aute Kareti was established in 1854. They're the only Māori Anglican Boarding College that promotes Māori and Anglican special character.

Their mission statement is "Whakatangata Kia Kaha"

The group describe the key themes of this year’s performance as mana, wehi, pride and humility.

This will be their seventh stand on the national kapa haka stage.

This clip features the group’s whakaeke, ‘Te Roto-a-Tara’.

This item talks about pakanga that took place on the waters of Te Roto-a-Tara and Te Awanui-o-Porirua and the morals that came of it. Te Roto-a-Tara is said to be a sacred place. It also acknowledges those who have passed.
