Te Haaro o te Kaahu Kapa Haka Kura Tuarua 2016-Te Rōpū Manu Huia

Te Rōpū Manu Huia, representing the Ngāti Kahungunu region, is made up of students from Hastings Boys High School. The group first stood at a national competition in 2012.

This will be the third time the rōpū has competed on a national stage since its inception in 1984.

The leader of the group is kaitātaki tāne Te Whetūrere Ferris. The group have prepared for this event under the guidance of tutors Chance V and Jem Te Huia.

Te Rōpū Manu Huia have chosen to share is their whakaeke “Te whiwhinga o te rangi tēnā” online, composed by Jem Te Huia.
