Te Haaro o te Kaahu Kapa Haka Kura Tuarua 2016- Te Rourou Kura

Established in 2004, Te Rourou Kura is a combined secondary school team based in Nelson and affiliates with all iwi and marae from Te Tauihu o te Waka ō Māui.  The group has performed on the national stage since their formation.

Te Rourou Kura’s aim is to focus on developing and strengthening te reo and tikanga Māori through the medium of performing arts.   The group are enthusiastic about growing their passion for the art form and enhancing their knowledge base by competing with their peers around the motu.

Te Rourou Kura’s kaitātaki tane David de Thierry and their kaitātahi wahine is Phoenix Moka.
