Te Wharekura o Te Rangi Āniwaniwa comprises kaihaka from Ngāti Kurī, Te Aupōuri, Ngāi Takoto, Te Rarawa, and Ngāti Kahu.
Established in 2000, their mission statement is Whāia Te Tino Rangatiratanga.
The blue pare of the kura worn by the kaihaka kōhine represent the wealth of two oceans on either side of the Far North peninsular ie the Tasman and the Pacific. The taumata design acknowledges the multi level learning pathways of Te Ao Māori and the global community.
This year, the group is lead by kaitātaki tāne D'Angelo Martin and kaitātaki wahine Te Rāwha Fletcher.
