Te Kura Mana Māori o Maraenui flourishes

Te Kura Mana Māori o Maraenui was born out of hard times within Te Whānau-a-Apanui, as the local mainstream school's roll dropped to a point where the school nearly closed.

However people have rallied together and turned the school into a Kura Kaupapa Māori.

And through adversity was seen under the teachings of the Ringatū faith and with its leader Te Kooti, the current school Te Kura Mana Māori o Maraenui thrives today.

Several major milestones have been achieved in 2013, and there are many more to achieve in the New Year.

The school has received many praises to everyone who have united together in support and passing down the many treasures gifted by their ancestors.
