Te Kura Mana Māori o Whangaparāoa

The Kura Mana Māori o Whangaparāoa situated at the base of Mt Tihirau, and its local people of Kauaetangohia embraces children and families from all tribes and hapū in the region of Te Whānau-a-Apanui.

Current construction is taking place for the opening of a new school Next Year.

The children of the school are privileged to be immersed in the Māori language, and are surrounded by an abundance of the environment, which obviously has a huge advantage over other school in larger towns.

According to past student Tuihana Pook, “We're blessed with having our mountain Tihirau beside us, our sea is in close proximity, so our children have the advantage of going out whitebaiting, fishing etc, and we have an annual competition here called the "Awesome Foursome.”

With the beautiful environment that surrounds the school and the classrooms that are currently under construction for the opening of the new school, there is no doubt the school will continue to flourish in days to come.
