Te Kura Wiwini, Te Kura Wawana - Ngā Taiātea Wharekura

Hailing from Waikato-Tainui rohe, Ngā Taiātea Wharekura kapa makes its fifth appearance at national level, returning this year to defend the top title.

The school itself resides under the mana of the Kīngitanga and the wider Waikato-Tainui whānau, and their main objective is for their graduates to become strong leaders for their families and their iwi.

This kapa was formed when Ngā Taiātea was established back in 2004, and have made memorable performances at every competition they've taken part in to date.

Leading Ngā Taiātea Wharekura today are Maramena Tuna as kaitātaki wahine, and Te Uranga o te Rā Walker as kaitātaki tāne.

Here is their whakawātea.
