Te Kura Wiwini, Te Kura Wawana - Te Wharekura o Arowhenua

Te Wharekura o Arowhenua hails from Murihiku and proudly represents Ngāi Tahu, and this kapa is no stranger to the national stage.

The group was formed in 2000 by Anipatene Wainui and Adam and Pania Whauwhau.

This year they are tutored by  Terrence O’Brien, Duane Allen, Mereana Edwin, Keita Wainui and Te Hukatai Tonihi.

Leading the group as kaitātaki wahine is Jaylee Haddon and Thomas Aerepo.

Here is their whakawātea which was created to inspire and encourage youth to pursue their dreams and aspirations no matter what it may be.
