Te Rua o Te Moko shines at Ahuwhenua awards

Te Rua o Te Moko Ltd was the big winner at last night's Ahuwhenua awards held in Tauranga.

The 170 hectare South Taranaki farm displayed to the judges their excellence in the field, and in the end was too strong for its competitors.

According to Pita Shaples, “All the farms were good, when I heard about each of them, I was happy for them, but yes, Taranaki took home the trophy.”

Te Rua o Te Moko aspires to align their work to benefit their families and sub-tribes in the region of Taranaki.

Another big winner from last night's awards was Wiremu Reid who received the Young Māori Farmer of the Year award along with $1500.

The other two farms in the tunning for awards were Pūtauaki and Ngakauroa farms both in the Bay of Plenty.
