Te Taura Whiri launches resources for Māori Language Week

In the lead up to Māori Language Week, The Māori Language Commission, Te Taura Whiri i Te Reo Māori launched their downloadable reo Māori resources.

The theme this year is 'Whāngaihia te reo Māori ki ngā mātua'. The aim is to support the language development of parents who can then feed the language to their children.

The new resources have been created in the hope that it will encourage parents to use Te reo Māori in their homes.

Resources include bilingual posters, sentences to use in the home written in both Te reo Māori and English and phrase booklets.

If you and your whānau are interested in accessing and utilising these resources, you can download them here.

You can also order these resources and have them mailed to you, if you wish to have hard copies printed.

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori 2015 starts on July 27 and will end on August 2.
